Our Story

Who We Are

Jolts for Colts

Our love of horses began with our beloved trail horses, Cherokee and Granny’s New Dawn. We became involved with the Pennsylvania Pleasure Walking Horse Association and the Tennessee Walking Horse Breed, with our first horse Indian Thunder and her offspring Thunder’s Merry Mark. In 1988 we evolved into training, breeding, and showing naturally gaited TWH with Pride’s Lady Scarlett, Seal of Remembrance, Pride of Remembrance, and Remembrance Legendary Sun winning events such as the 1989 PPWHA Model Yearly Champion, 1991 Reserved Grand Champion, 1992 IPWHA High Point Champion, 1995 Second Place Weanling in Hand, and a long list of many more. As our horses aged, we retired them to pasture.

Our love of horses still remains and quite a few of these beautiful animals are sent sadly to the slaughter. To continue to show our passion for horses and their welfare, Jolts for Colts coffee blends was created in 2020.

Through the sale of each bag of Jolts for Colts coffee, a portion of our sales is donated to help support the rescue of horses and supporting horse farms that provide refuge for them. We greatly appreciate your support in our initiative!
